Hop Pocket

An oasis of countryside calm in the culturally rich, ‘Garden of England’

In a lovingly restored former hop house in Tudeley Parish, you’ll find this ground floor apartment for up to five, complete with shared outdoor pool, tennis court and games room.

Open the door to this beautiful ground-floor apartment and reveal an oak wooden floor and open-plan living and dining area. Cosy leather sofas and a farmhouse dining table offer a comfortable place to relax. The kitchen boasts warm wooden touches and plenty of charm, not to mention everything you’ll need to cook a full English breakfast before a day of local discoveries. Leisurely lunches or intimate dinners can be centred around the wooden table or enjoyed on a picnic table in a private outdoor oasis, with pretty flower beds and wild flowers for company.

A few steps from the living room you’ll find a spacious, light and airy double bedroom complete with modern ensuite and excellent views of the shared pool. An additional twin room provides comfortable single beds with one handy folding bed for that extra sleeping space. For larger groups, Hop Pocket can be linked through double doors to neighbouring property Hop Kilns, creating one apartment that will house the whole family and more.

Take a walk around the complex and discover a large outdoor pool. Hours can be spent unwinding here in the company of friends and loved ones. Children can get lost in their imaginations as they stumble across the handcrafted tree house and play area. Why not unleash your inner Wimbledon champion on the tennis court just a stone’s throw away or challenge an unsuspecting relative to a pool tournament in the indoor games room? If you can bring yourself to leave, History lovers will be blown away by nearby Hever Castle, whilst nature enthusiasts can get lost amongst the finest conifer collection in the world at Bedgebury Pinetum, easily accessible on the A21.

When your feet are aching from all the places you’ve explored, slip back into your countryside oasis for a home-cooked dinner, a family movie or simply an early night with a good book. BBQ enthusiasts might want to check out the brick built coal BBQ next to the swings, where warm summer evenings can slowly unwind.
